Donation Request : Please support early cancer detection - Support Canary Foundation

Hello Friends,

Cancer Sucks. My grandfather died from it later in life.  My father has had enlarged prostrate for years now (luckily no cancer … yet) and my mother is a breast-cancer survivor.  Recently a coworker at the young age of 64 died from Lung Cancer.

Most if not all of us know someone with cancer, who has survived cancer or who unfortunately had their lives cut short as a result of the cancer or complications with it. The statistics are humbling. [1 out of 7 men will be diagnosed with Prostate Cancer].  However, there is hope through early detection and leading an active / healthy lifestyle.

This year, in addition to supporting non-profits like American Cancer Society, I wanted to do something that expresses my belief that we are happiest and healthiest when we are engaged in an activity that is larger than ourselves and active outdoors.

I found the Canary Challenge, a bike race/ride that directly (and responsibly) raises funds for cancer research at Stanford Medical Center. You can check out the ride here. I need to raise at least $400 to enter (not including the $75 entry fee), so any help is immensely appreciated. If you can help me reach the minimum donation, that would be appreciated and the secure link is here.

If you can't make a donation at this point, help me reach my goal by sharing this page on Facebook and Twitter!

Or, even better, send an e-mail to friends you think might be interested in contributing and include a link to my page!

Thanks so much for your generosity!

Scott
